But perhaps more importantly, I joined at a time when after years of struggle against what I knew deep down to be true, God had opened my heart and I had become a Christian. Coming to choir, singing songs which tell the good news of the gospel has really helped to bring me in a closer relationship to God, as has being in fellowship with the other members of Jubal who share my faith. I see it as a blessing that we can share our beliefs through song, during rehearsals, at concerts and the smaller events such as singing in retirement homes and carol singing in town.

Sometimes the practices are hard, tiring and frustrating, especially when we are learning new material. But then, when the songs come together, the hard work is definitely worth it. Jubal has taught me how to love singing, and I do!
